1. Because of the graphic nature of many of this site's stories, readers & authors must be at least 17 years of age.
   
   
2. Slash is allowed – Slash writers must remember that not everyone enjoys reading stories involving a love relationship between two people of the same sex and readers also need to remember that some people enjoy writing these types of stories.
   
   
3. Plagiarism is forbidden – Any author who is found to be using another author’s work (an established, published author, fanfiction author or other author) will be banned from the site. No exceptions.
   
   
4. Spelling and grammar MUST be acceptable – Title, Summary and Body must be spelled correctly. Stories submitted with errors in the title or summary may be changed by administrators. All titles must be submitted as proper nouns (example: She Left Me Today is correct while she left me today is not).
   
   
5. Titles and Summaries must be G rated – please help us stay kid-friendly if a young one accidentally stumbles onto the site. No exceptions.
   
   
6. Stories submitted to the queue MUST have the appropriate rating - Even if the story begins as K (children, G-rated) but will eventually feature mature situations such as sex, language and violence, the rating needs to be MA from the date of first submission. Administrators will correct this if needed and warn only once. On second violation your story may be deleted. We are serious about placing stories in the correct ratings category.
   
   
7. Stories featuring underage sex are forbidden – In any story where the characters engage in sexual situations, the age must be 16 or older (example: you are writing about a driver and his female best friend when they are both in high school) or age 18 or older (example: you are writing about a driver in the present time and he meets a younger woman). Failure to adhere can result in deletion of the story and/or banning from the site. No exceptions.
   
   
8. Drivers’ real-life spouses and significant others may not be main characters – Drivers’ spouses/SO may be used as secondary or supporting characters but cannot be involved with another driver.
   
   
9. Choose the correct category – If your story features Elliott Sadler as the main character, but has Tony Stewart and Junior as supporting cast, you may either: A) Place the story in the “Elliott Sadler” category and choose the other characters from the provided list OR B) Place the story in the “Multiple Drivers” category. You cannot do both. No one story can have multiple categories. All stories must simply have ONE category. If your story involves more than one driver as main characters then your story is automatically a "Multiple Drivers" category story. We, as administrators, have the right to change your story settings to fit this.
   
   
10. Not all drivers or NASCAR personalities are listed as characters - If a driver or NASCAR personality is not listed as a character, please email an administrator (admin@fanficnation.net) to make us aware and to add the character to the list of characters.
    
    
11. Use warnings appropriately – Choose a warning from the provided list. If there is not one that matches your specific need, please note in your summary or author’s note what content may be unsuitable for some readers.
    
    
12. Substance is necessary – Fan Fic Nation is serious about providing quality NASCAR fan fiction to its readers. A chapter that is a slapstick sex scene or clearly just a paragraph or two to constitute an update will not fly. Please put some time and thought into your stories. Your readers will be pleased and so will Fan Fic Nation.
    
    
13. Challenges can only be issued by administrators of the site - An administrator is the only member of the site that can issue a challenge. If a member other than an administrator is caught issuing a challenge topic, the challenge will be taken down and the member's account will be deactivated.
    
    
14. Administrators are ineligible to win challenges - An administrator may submit a challenge entry but their entry will not be judged.
    
    
15. Non-NASCAR stories are allowed - There is a Non-NASCAR category for authors who do not wish to write NASCAR stories and/or also enjoy writing non-NASCAR stories.
